PERSONNEL

The Department of Medicine and Research Laboratory of Internal Medicine of the University of Thessaly including Professor G.N. Dalekos as the Head of the Department, comprises of 6 Academic Medical Physicians and 6 board-certified Internal Medicine Physicians including 2 Physicians with Infectious Diseases Subspecialty. Our physicians practice in a variety of inpatient care settings and contribute in residency teaching (16 positions of residency in Internal Medicine). In addition to offering a wide array of services to our patients, the Department is engaged in providing advanced medical education with an emphasis on excellence in clinical care and a commitment to lifelong learning.

In addition, the Department is supported by an administrative secretary, a health visitor in the Liver Outpatient Clinic, a molecular biologist and a laboratory technician who are involved in routine laboratory studies as well as research activities in the Laboratory of Internal Medicine.
