Student Selection Process

Applications

The number of admissions to the Postgraduate Program "Exercise, Ergospirometry and Rehabilitation" is set at forty (40) Postgraduate Students (MS) each year. Graduates of Departments of Medicine, Physical Education and Sports Science, Polytechnic Schools, Nursing, Physiotherapy and related specialties of domestic Universities or corresponding departments of recognized institutions abroad, as well as graduates of TEIs in a related field of study, are admitted to the Postgraduate Program. Graduates of HEIs and TEIs of other specialties are also admitted under the conditions of additional criteria and consideration of proven professional and research experience, following a decision of the Academic Council.

A prerequisite for selection is sufficient knowledge of the English language with a language proficiency certificate of level B2. If there is no certificate, sufficient knowledge of the English language is certified by the Language Committee.

Job announcement

The Executive Board of the DPMS decides on the time of publication in the daily press of a relevant announcement to interested candidates, which specifies the necessary qualifications of candidates for admission to the DPMS, the deadline for submitting supporting documents, the general method of evaluating candidates and the address for submitting supporting documents. Applications are submitted on special forms that are sent or delivered to them by the DPMS Secretariat.

The supporting documents that candidates must submit are:

  1. Participation Application (at the Secretariat and on the DPMS website).
  2. Detailed CV (CV form at the Secretariat and on the DPMS website).
  3. A copy of the degree or a certificate that the candidate has fulfilled his educational obligations. In the case of graduates from foreign universities, a certificate of recognition from DOATAP must be submitted.
  4. Detailed Rating.
  5. Scientific publications, awards, evidence of professional or research activity (if any). Conference presentations.
  6. Evidence of professional experience (if any).
  7. Photocopy of both sides of the police ID.
  8. Evidence of foreign languages.
  9. Two ID photos.
  10. Two letters of recommendation

The Selection Committee (SC) for Postgraduate Students (MS) takes into account the specific qualifications of the candidates, as evidenced by the supporting documents submitted to the Secretariat of the Graduate School of Management and the candidates' performance during a personal interview.

Student evaluation

The evaluation of candidates, who have submitted all the required supporting documents within the stipulated deadlines, is carried out by the Selection Committee (EC) in three phases:

Phase A:

Verification of supporting documents of all candidates for the MF.

Phase II:

The criteria are scored on a scale from 0 to 100 and each candidate is credited with a specific number of points. The EDE, in collaboration with the candidates' UE, evaluates and selects the candidates in a meeting based on the criteria:

  • Overall degree grade x3 (up to 30 points).
  • Recognized professional relevance to the subject of the program (up to 10 points).
  • Conference presentations (up to 5 points).
  • Publications in scientific journals (up to 10 points).
  • Letters of recommendation (up to 10 points).
  • Foreign language level (up to 5 points)

Phase 3:

For the selection of candidates for the DPMS, a relevant personal interview is held (up to 30 points). The performance of the candidates during the personal interview is taken into account for their selection for the DPMS.

The personal interview aims to:

  • To determine the candidate's general scientific training and the formation of his personality.
  • In highlighting the candidate's special qualifications and other characteristics and activities.
  • To identify the difficulties that the candidate may have in consistently attending courses and other obligations of the Diploma in Public Administration.

Selection process

After receiving the list of candidates from the Secretariat, the EU checks the supporting documents that have been submitted and draws up the final list of candidates. After posting the list of candidates, the date of personal interviews, in person or by videoconference, is set. The highest score that a candidate can get with the above criteria is 70 points. Those candidates who receive 35 points or more are invited to an interview (the number of points may change following a decision by the EU). The total score can reach 100 points.

Based on the total score obtained by each candidate, the EE draws up a ranking list of candidates. The ranking list includes all candidates in order of success and shows the successful candidates and the runners-up. These lists are then forwarded to the EPC for review and approval.

Successful candidates are invited to respond in writing within seven (7) days whether or not they accept their membership in the DPMS, accepting its terms of operation. Failure to respond by a selected candidate within the above deadline is equivalent to a refusal of acceptance. If there are refusals, the Secretariat informs those immediately following in the evaluation order from the relevant success list.

An objection against the results tables may be made within 5 days from the date of the announcement of the tables. The objection, which must be specific, is finally decided by the EPC.
