The Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly announces the start of the submission of applications for the academic year 2025-2026 of the Postgraduate Studies Program (P.M.S.) entitled: "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" and in English: "ΠΜΣ Καρδιακή Ανεπάρκεια, Καρδιο-ογκολογία, Καρδιαγγειακή αποκατάσταση"The program is governed by the Postgraduate Studies Regulations of the University of Thessaly.
The P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" its mission is to cultivate and promote, through academic and applied teaching and research, the high-level education of researchers and health professionals: in the recognition, evaluation and improvement of cognitive, managerial and other deficits, concerning patients with heart failure and cardio-oncology diseases, in preventive control, diagnosis and functional investigation of structural heart diseases and in cardiovascular rehabilitation.
The Graduate Program (M.S.) awards a Graduate Diploma (M.D.S.) in "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation".
In P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" are accepted as Postgraduate Students (MS), after selection, graduates of the Schools of Health Sciences of A.E.I. or former T.E.I. of the country or affiliated institutions abroad, as well as graduates of other related to the subject of the Program of University Departments and A.E.I.. The academic recognition procedures of article 304 of Law 4957/2022 apply to holders of foreign degrees. Also, graduates of A.E.I. and AT.E.I. other specialties under conditions of additional criteria and consideration of proven professional and research experience related to the subject of the P.M.S., after a decision of the S.E. and validation by ST
The P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" is full-time and is structured in three (3) academic semesters, which include nine (9) courses and the preparation of a diploma thesis. The minimum length of time to complete the program is three (3) academic semesters. The total number of credits (ECTS) required to obtain the Master's Degree is 90 ECTS.
Successful completion of the program includes the attendance and examination of nine (9) compulsory courses and the preparation and presentation of a thesis.

DIPLOMATIC WORK

The course schedule begins in the fall semester. The courses at P.M.S. start and end according to the academic calendar of the University of Thessaly.
The teaching takes place in nine (9) thematic units that are taught one each month lasting two days (Friday and Saturday). The evaluation of the trainees includes the preparation of a diploma thesis and written exams. The teaching language of P.M.S is Greek. The language of thesis preparation is both Greek and English. The Program of the P.M.S. is posted on the P.M.S. website.
The organization of the educational process of the P.M.S. it is carried out by living and/or using modern distance education methods in accordance with the provisions. The University of Thessaly has the logistical infrastructure to support distance learning study programs and the teaching staff has the appropriate digital skills.
The tuition/tuition fees for each postgraduate student at P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation", amount to three thousand euros (€3,000) and are paid in installments in three installments of one thousand euros (€1,000.00) at the beginning of each semester.
The Evaluation Committee takes into account the special qualifications of the candidates, as they appear from the supporting documents submitted to the Secretariat of the P.M.S. and the performance of candidates during an oral interview.
The evaluation and selection process is described in detail in the Internal Operating Regulations, which are posted on the P.M.S. website.
The supporting documents that candidates must submit are:
- Written application for participation (at the Secretariat and on the P.M.S. website).
- Copy of degree or certificate that the candidate has fulfilled his educational obligations. In the case of graduates of foreign Universities, a certificate of recognition from DIKATSA-DOATAP must be submitted. The academic recognition procedures of Article 304 of Law 4957/2022 apply to holders of foreign degrees.
- A copy of the detailed score of all undergraduate courses together with the score of the graduate study.
- A brief CV with information about the candidate's studies, research and professional experience (according to the template that you will find on the P.M.S. website with the corresponding supporting documents).
- Scientific publications, distinctions and evidence of research activity (if any).
- Evidence of professional experience (if any).
- Two letters of recommendation from University Professors or T.E.I. or A' researchers of recognized national or foreign research centers.
- Diploma or certificate of proficiency in the English language mandatory and other foreign languages optional. In special cases, language proficiency will be judged by the Selection Committee.
- Photocopy of two sides of the police ID or passport.
- Recent photo ID (to be attached to the application).
- Declaration of Law 1599/86 "that all supporting documents are exact copies of the originals".
PMS "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" will accept applications for the academic year 2025-2026 from Thursday, May 15, 2025 to Thursday, July 31, 2025.
