The Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly announces the operation of the Postgraduate Studies Program (MPS) entitled: "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" and in English: "ΠΜΣ Καρδιακή Ανεπάρκεια, Καρδιο-ογκολογία, Καρδιαγγειακή αποκατάσταση" for the academic year 2022-2023. The program is governed by the Graduate Studies Regulations of the University of Thessaly

The P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" has as its mission to cultivate and promote, through academic and applied teaching and research, the high-level training of researchers and health professionals: in the recognition, evaluation and improvement of cognitive, managerial and other deficits , concerning patients with heart failure and cardio-oncological diseases, in preventive control, diagnosis and functional investigation of structural heart diseases and in cardiovascular rehabilitation.

The Postgraduate Studies Program (MSP) awards a Postgraduate Diploma (MPD) in "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation".

In P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" are accepted as Postgraduate Students (MS) graduates of the Schools of Health Sciences of HEIs or former TEIs of the country or of similar institutions abroad, as well as graduates of other related to the subject of the Program of Departments of Universities and HEIs . Holders of a foreign degree must present the recognition of their degree by DOATAP.

The P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" is structured in three (3) academic semesters, which include nine (9) courses and the preparation of a diploma thesis. The minimum length of time to complete the program is three (3) academic semesters. The total number of credits (ECTS) required to obtain the Master's Degree (MSD) is 90 ECTS.

Successful completion of the program includes the attendance and examination of nine (9) compulsory courses and the preparation and presentation of a thesis.

The courses of the PMS "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular rehabilitation" are held once a month on Friday evenings and Saturdays for the convenience of working students, while there is also the possibility of teaching the theoretical courses through distance education at a rate 35% in accordance with legal provisions.

Tuition/tuition fees at P.M.S. "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular Rehabilitation" amount to three thousand euros (€3,000) for the entire duration of studies and are paid in three installments at the beginning of each semester.

The selection of PMS students is made after evaluation of the following supporting documents, which will be sent in paper form to the Program Secretariat, but also electronically (all files compressed in one file or with We Tranfer to e-mail: msc.cardio@uth .gr):

  1. Printed participation application (at the Secretariat and on the PMS website).
  2. Detailed curriculum vitae with details of the candidate's studies, research and professional experience (according to the model you will find on the PMS website with the corresponding supporting documents).
  3. Copy of degree or certificate that the candidate has fulfilled his/her educational obligations. In the case of graduates of foreign Universities, a certificate of recognition from DIKATSA-DOATAP must be submitted.
  4. Copy of detailed score.
  5. Scientific publications, distinctions and evidence of research activity (if any).
  6. Evidence of professional experience (if any).
  7. Two letters of recommendation.
  8. Photocopy of two sides of the police ID or passport.
  9. Evidence of foreign languages (especially English).
  10. Recent photo ID (to be attached to the application).
  11. Declaration of Law 1599/86 "that all supporting documents are exact copies of originals".

The PMS "Heart Failure - Cardio-oncology - Cardiovascular rehabilitation" will accept applications from 16-5-2022 to 29-7-2022.
