The Master of Science (MSc), "Nutrition in Health and Disease", aims to provide a high level of specialization and conduct research regarding human nutrition, so that its graduates acquire a strong scientific background, experience and expertise in contemporary nutrition issues, with the aim of a successful professional career in the private and public sectors.
This specific MSc aims to scientifically approach the interaction of nutrition on health and various diseases and to identify the nutritional variables that influence human health and disease. It will help postgraduate students to better understand the methods of nutritional interventions for treatment and the most effective strategies for disease prevention, resulting in the creation of scientists with specialized knowledge in this field of health. It will approach important issues such as, the balanced diet, the assessment of nutritional disorders and deficiencies, dietary factors and nutritional disorders involved in various diseases, protein and calorie balance, enteral and parenteral nutrition, the role of vitamins and trace elements, obesity and its treatment methods.
