The course will develop topics related to the importance of training health workers in nutrition and nutritional programs, the hormonal and nervous regulation of appetite, the genetic basis of appetite and obesity, the balanced diet, the nutritional needs of athletes, nutritional supplements, nutritional education programs, methods for assessing nutritional status, the suitability of foods available in schools, the assessment of nutritional status in childhood and old age and the determination of individuals at risk of developing eating disorders and malnutrition.
