Η Καλλιόπη Γεωργακούλη είναι Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια στο Τμήμα Διατροφής και Διαιτολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας. Έλαβε το πτυχίο της στη Διατροφή και Διαιτολογία από το Αλεξάνδρειο Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα Θεσσαλονίκης (2009). Συνέχισε τις μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές της στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας, όπου απέκτησε το μεταπτυχιακό της με τίτλο «Βιοτεχνολογία – Ποιότητα Διατροφής και Περιβάλλοντος» με εξειδίκευση στη Βιοχημεία της Διατροφής (2012). Το 2015 υπερασπίστηκε τη διδακτορική της διατριβή, με τίτλο «Η επίδραση της άσκησης στη χρήση αλκοόλ», αποκτώντας το διδακτορικό της στη Βιοχημεία Άσκησης από το Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας. Έχει εργαστεί ως διδακτορική ερευνήτρια στο χρηματοδοτούμενο ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα THALES (2012-2015), με τίτλο «Άσκηση, κάπνισμα και αλκοόλ: διερεύνηση μηχανισμών και παρεμβάσεις για πρόληψη, διακοπή και ευαισθητοποίηση». Έχει διδάξει μαθήματα και έχει επιβλέψει διατριβές για προπτυχιακούς φοιτητές στο Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα Θεσσαλίας (2015-2018) και στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας (2018-2020). Είναι επιστημονική συνεργάτης στο Εργαστήριο Βιοχημείας, Φυσιολογίας και Διατροφής της Άσκησης (SmArT Lab) (πρώην Εργαστήριο Βιοχημείας της Άσκησης) – Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας από το 2011, με κύριες δραστηριότητες και ευθύνες τη διεξαγωγή έρευνας, επιστημονική συγγραφή, διατροφική αξιολόγηση και περιστασιακή διδασκαλία σε προπτυχιακό και μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο. Έχει συν-συγγράψει δύο κεφάλαια βιβλίων και περισσότερα από 30 ερευνητικά άρθρα σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά με κριτές και έχει παρουσιάσει το έργο της σε πολλά διεθνή συνέδρια. Είναι επίσης κριτής σε πολλά επιστημονικά περιοδικά. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στις επιδράσεις των λειτουργικών τροφίμων, των συμπληρωμάτων διατροφής και της άσκησης σε διάφορες πτυχές της υγείας τόσο σε υγιείς όσο και σε κλινικούς πληθυσμούς. Επιπλέον, έχει έντονο ενδιαφέρον για την πιθανή χρήση της άσκησης ως συμπληρωματική στρατηγική για τη θεραπεία εθιστικών διαταραχών, καθώς και τους σχετικούς μηχανισμούς που εμπλέκονται.

 

Η Γαρυφαλλιά Πέπερα είναι Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Φυσικοθεραπείας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας. Έχει βασικό Πτυχίο Φυσικοθεραπείας (2003) από το ΤΕΙ Στερεάς Ελλάδας (πρώην Λαμίας). Είναι Διδάκτωρ (2011) του Πανεπιστημίου Essex, Μεγάλης Βρετανίας στην Καρδιακής Αποκατάσταση και πτυχιούχος του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος Σπουδών (2005) Αθλητικής Αποκατάστασης στα 3 Πανεπιστήμια του Glasgow, Μεγάλης Βρετανίας. Το ερευνητικό και συγγραφικό της έργο περιλαμβάνει 35 δημοσιευμένες εργασίες και  περιλήψεις σε έγκριτα διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά, και έχει προβεί σε περισσότερες από 50 ανακοινώσεις σε επιστημονικά συνέδρια (31 σε διεθνή συνέδρια) πλήθος παρουσιάσεων και διαλέξεων, καθώς και επιστημονικές διακρίσεις σε διεθνή και ελληνικά συνέδρια. Συμμετέχει ενεργά σε σημαντικό αριθμό διεθνών και ελληνικών φυσικοθεραπευτικών και καρδιολογικών συνεδρίων με περισσότερες από 60 ομιλίες και ανακοινώσεις. Έχει διατελέσει μέλος επιστημονικών επιτροπών συνεδρίων και έχει οριστεί ως κριτής για πολλά διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά (Physiotherapy, Aging Clinical and Experimental Research, Physiotherapy Theory and Practice, Medical Research Archives). Ως μέλος ΔΕΠ έχει διδάξει στο Τμήμα Φυσικοθεραπείας του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, μαθήματα όπως «Φυσικοθεραπεία Καρδιαγγειακών Παθήσεων», «Κλινική Καρδιοαναπνευστική Φυσικοθεραπεία» και «Αναπνευστική Φυσικοθεραπεία». Επίσης, έχει συμμετάσχει στη διδασκαλία μεταπτυχιακών μαθημάτων και συγκεκριμένα στο Π.Μ.Σ. «Προηγμένη Φυσικοθεραπεία» του Τμήματος Φυσικοθεραπείας του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας στο μάθημα «Πνευμονική και Καρδιαγγειακή Αποκατάσταση». Έχει οργανώσει και συμμετάσχει σε αρκετά σεμινάρια καρδιακής και αναπνευστικής φυσικοθεραπείας-αποκατάστασης, ενώ έχει  παρακολουθήσει η ίδια πλήθος μεταπτυχιακών μαθημάτων και εξειδικευμένων σεμιναρίων (με εξετάσεις) στην Αγγλία και στην Ελλάδα. Ενδεικτικά είναι πιστοποιημένη BACPR (British Association for Cardiac Rehabilitation) Phase IV exercise Instructor Training programme, Level 4 Qualification μετά από παρακολούθηση Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation course Certificate με γραπτές και προφορικές εξετάσεις στην Αγγλία. Έχει αποτελέσει ιδρυτικό μέλος και είχε εκλεγεί αντιπρόεδρος επιστημονικού τμήματος Καρδιοαγγειακής και Αναπνευστικής Φυσικοθεραπείας-Αποκατάστασης του Πανελληνίου Συλλόγου Φυσικοθεραπευτών. Είναι έγκριτο μέλος ελληνικών (Τμήμα Καρδιαγγειακής και Αναπνευστικής Φυσικοθεραπείας και Αποκατάστασης, ΠΣΦ) αλλά και διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένων Επιστημονικών Εταιριών μεταξύ αυτών της British Association for Cardiac Rehabilitation (BACPR) και European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC). Διαθέτει κλινική επαγγελματική εμπειρία στην Καρδιακή Αποκατάσταση στην Αγγλία και στην Ελλάδα. Στην Αγγλία στα πλαίσια της διδακτορικής μελέτης όπου συμμετείχε σε αρκετά κέντρα καρδιακής αποκατάστασης στην Αγγλία, παράλληλα εργαζόταν ως Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor in Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic-Phase IV (Κλινική Καρδιαγγειακής Αποκατάστασης) του Essex University και του General Hospital in Colchester, Μεγάλη Βρετανία. Παράλληλα διαθέτει, κλινική διδακτική εμπειρία (από το 2006) φοιτητών φυσικοθεραπείας σε κλινικές όπως καρδιολογική, καρδιολογική εντατική μονάδα και πνευμονολογική. Έχει συνεργαστεί με Μεταπτυχιακά Προγράμματα Σπουδών της Ιατρικής Σχολής του ΕΚΠΑ.
