Latest Developments in HPV & Biomarkers

In the context of continuing medical education, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of the University of Thessaly, in collaboration with the Women's Health Care Society of Greece (EFHYGE), is organizing a Symposium in Larissa with the theme "Latest developments in HPV and Biomarkers in Obstetrics and Gynecology No 7».

The latest ever-increasing knowledge regarding the range and severity of the consequences of HPV-infection require everyone to be informed about prevention (HPV-vaccine), early diagnosis with population screening (HPV-test) and the detection and treatment of diseases it causes.

Biomarkers are one of the most important links in the diagnostic chain of obstetric and gynecological diseases, they help in the selection of endoscopic treatment of gynecological diseases, personalized ovulation protocols and gynecological cancer treatment, but also personalized monitoring of the pregnant woman.

Top Obstetricians-Gynecologists they will develop cervical cancer screening, colposcopic detection and the role of biomarkers in cervical, endometrial and vulvar precancerous lesions and their treatment, updated gynecological oncology treatment guidelines, issues of embryo-uterine medicine, endoscopic surgery and reproductive medicine. The aim is to teach the younger colleagues and refresh their knowledge of the more experienced and experts in the field. There will be distinguished Greek speakers and it will be an excellent opportunity for exchange of views and social interaction.

We therefore invite all Obstetricians-Gynaecologists, Paediatricians, Microbiologists, General Practitioners and their respective Specialists, Biologists, Researchers, all Health Professionals (Midwives, Nurses, Health Visitors), as well as all students to attend the Symposium.

Participation is free.

We hope that it will be a useful seminar for everyone and will significantly contribute to the improvement of the services provided to our patients.

The Symposium will take place from 15 to 17 December 2023 at the Central Amphitheater "Hippokratis" of the Department of Medicine, University of Thessaly. We look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Thessaly.
