In order to obtain the Diploma (D.M.S.), students are required to attend and be successfully examined in all courses (lectures and workshops), to carry out a practical laboratory exercise and to prepare a diploma thesis.
In special cases and after the recommendation of the Director of the P.M.S. the laboratory exercise can be done in a recognized specialized center at home or abroad, aiming at a high-level specialization or for the preparation of a corresponding diploma thesis. Every Master's Student is obliged to prepare a Thesis. The topic of the Diploma Thesis will be chosen during the 2u semester of the courses by the postgraduate student in collaboration with the Supervising Professor. The Supervising Professor will be responsible for monitoring the Master's student's work and together with the other members of the Three-Member Examining Committee will approve the Diploma Thesis, which the candidate will publicly support.
