The award of one (1) excellence scholarship per academic year is available for postgraduate students, as follows:
A scholarship is granted for the preparation of a Doctoral Dissertation in the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly, provided that the postgraduate student:
- achieves academic excellence based on their grades,
- completes their studies on time (within 3 semesters), and
- is certified by the three-member committee.
The amount of the scholarship is €2,000.
In case of a tie between students who have achieved excellence, a draw (lottery) is conducted by the administration of the Postgraduate Program.
A scholarship is not granted if the postgraduate student is already receiving a scholarship from another source.
Scholarships are not awarded to students who have been admitted to the Postgraduate Program without the obligation to pay tuition fees.
The scholarship is paid after the approval of the doctoral dissertation proposal by the competent bodies of the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly.
