I have participated and I am currently participating as investigator in several multicenter, international clinical studies of cardiovascular medicine.

I am member of the Faculty of the Masters Diploma entitled “Clinical Chemistry” in the Chemistry-Biochemistry Department of University of Ioannina, of the Masters Diploma “MSc in Thrombosis” in the University of Thessaly, the MSc “Cardiometabolic Medicine” of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as the MSc “Cardiovascular Medicine” in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
I have attended numerous local and international congresses and educational courses. I was among the speakers or chairmen in some of them, while I have gained several awards for scientific projects.
Publications
I have been a leading and principal author as well as co-author in numerous scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals. I also was Guest Editor of a Special Issue of Current Pharmaceutical Design entitled “Achieving Current Goals in Prevention and Treatment of Vascular Disease: an update” (general title of the issue: “New Developments in the Prevention and Treatment of Vascular Disease – 4”). Recently, I was Guest Editor of a Special Issue entitled “The Role of Dietary Cholesterol in Atherosclerosis” in Nutrients.
Furthermore, I have experience with refereeing for several journals.
